IMMUNE SYSTEM CRACKS
Noting that AIDS is caused by HIV-type virus, it is a disease that can be transmitted from person to person, Köse said, "When HIV enters the bloodstream of a person, that person becomes a carrier. HIV is a virus that damages the human immune system. Carriers become AIDS patients within 5-10 years. If they are not treated, the body cannot fight infections because the immune system is damaged, and they run the risk of serious illness and death. Pointing out that HIV is transmitted through blood, through unprotected sexual intercourse and from an HIV-positive mother to the baby, Köse stated that with the blood test (eliza test), it is understood whether HIV is present in the person.
A blood test measures the antibodies the body produces as it fights HIV. These antibodies can often be measured 3 months after infection. For this reason, even if the result is negative in this process, you may be infected with the virus and you may be transmitting it to others," he said.
